Wow. It has been a while since I last posted...precisely since Sept 5 '04.

Let's see...where to begin. Uh, I graduated, got engaged, found a job, fly airplanes, and watch an incredible amount of TV. But thats just for starters. For those of you that I regularly keep in contact with, you know the rest. For everyone else, try calling my cell phone to remind me of who you are/were.

So, thats all for tonight folks.

It has been a long time since my last post. In that time, nothing cool has happened. That's right, kiddos! The life of me has been boring, and more boring. Except for the whole gaming factor at school , all the while trying not to do the ever-so-dispised homework. Agh!

So, I get my first flight student on Monday. Got two more on Tuesday. And then I start my CFII training on Tuesday too. It was supposed to be my day off. Oh well. I guess not.

In the headlines lately, Clinton is under the knife, Bush is leading Kerry in the polls, urine is being used extensively for research, bin Ladin's days are numbered, Kerry is going to lose because he is an idiot, and Stargate Atlantis is SciFi's number one show. So basically, nothing new there.

I sure miss my girlfriend. The only thing down here that is keeping me from leaving school and driving back home is the fact that I can play network games with all my friends. And that whole graduate-ceremony thing in December. Otherwise, I'd be chillin at home with my girl, watchin' the game, havin' a Bud...wait! Scratch the Bud. j/k :P

I will leave you with the best thing that I heard a couple days ago. A NASCAR driver is just a southern bubba who gets paid to drive cars.

Back To School
by Your Friendly Black Man

Back to school am I going
First to Memphis we will stop
Eating cajun catfish to satisfy the craving
On full stomachs to Little Rock we will go.

Try to stay awake will I
As we cross into the State of Texas
Must watch the road for horses and cows
Wouldn't want to hurt the van too much.

Into Longview will I drive
Ducking behind the wheel
While entering the ghettos near Church's Chicken
Scared of the stray bullet or the Longview chapter of the KKK.

Onto the campus will my van turn
Me, my parents, and my girlfriend
In fear of seeing a statue of our campus president
With the slogan "This Bud's For You."

Park the van at the dorm will I
20 hours later,
Exhausted and tired, but feeling alive
Enough to watch a 24-hour marathon of Stargate SG1 Season 8. And Atlantis. And Enterprise reruns. And Star Trek reruns. But still no scifi channel.

Ok, so I am not a poet (as you can probably tell), but I did find it to be quite...amusing. If that.

Very Late Breaking News: This just in...John Kerry has officially renounced his nomination for democratic president in 2004. Kerry says that he is doing this so that he can spend more time growing up, learning how to respect President Bush, finding more ways to create war-wounds from Vietnam so that he can get more medals and recognition, and recounting all the 2000 Florida votes for Al Gore...................OK, so I lied. But it did sound good though :P

In my striving to be more politically correct each day (yeah...riiight), Hasta luego mi amig(o/a)s.

Well, only three days until I leave for TX. Going to be nice to get back again, although I will miss Chicago. Going to leave behind a lot. But, on towards the future! Its going to be a long drive, but since this is my final semester (God-willing), I don't mind making it one more time.

I quit my job at Walgreens finally...this would have been my sixth year working there, but I am sure glad that it is over. I am so tired of dealing with customers who always think they are right. Sorry, but in my world, customers are never right. That's why I am not a manager, or a service clerk, or a customer service representative. They'd fire me the first day because of that. But I don't care anymore.

I discovered four stages of my already short temper. What are the stages you ask? Well I will tell you. Normal, Caution, and Red Alert. Normal is my normal operating mode. Caution doesn't take me too long to get too, but mostly when I am annoyed or ticked off. And I only enter into Red Alert when I am extremely pissed off. When I am working at Walgreens, I try to stay in Normal mode. But when diplomatic negotiation fails (as it usually does), then onto to Caution. And of course, if agressive negotiation fails (occasionally), then Red Alert comes along, and I will win the argument.

With that said, the moral of the story kids is don't go to a school 1000 miles away from home, don't interact with customers (because the vast majority are stupid), don't go into retail, and if you see me in Red Alert mode, avoid any type of diplomacy. I guarantee it won't work.

And now that I am no longer in retail, I am soooooo much happier. Thank God that flying for an airline isn't too much of a customer service thing, like working retail. If the passenger didn't enjoy the flight, well, it's not my fault for picking out the wrong movie. If they got sick on the flight, well, it's not my fault that ATC choose the wrong altitude. The good thing is that I don't have to answer to passengers. My patented response will be, "Please take all your complaints to corporate. What do you think I am? A comment card?" Just kidding...All I gotta do is just wear the jacket and captain's hat, walk past them all like the typical arrogant pilot, and drive a $100,000 Mercedes...

To clear up a misconception, however you may have taken it, I did not get married on Saturday. I was running sound for a wedding ceremony. And it went really well. No technical glitches, and everything was right on cue. Of course, the bride was the second hottest chic there...the first was my hot girlfriend.

So Nomar Garciaparra got shipped to Chitown to the Cubbies. Great. Like they really need him at short. That team is so dead offensively that it would take a few major trades (like getting rid of Sosa and Alou) to jumpstart them. What they really need is a better bullpen. Their team hits ok, but there bullpen, much like the White Sox, keeps letting them down...Like I really care about the Cubs anyway...Nomar goes from one team craving a World Series to another who hasn't won one since 1908. Anyone notice a trend for Nomar?

Loaiza got shipped from the White Sox to New York for Jose Contreras. I think that its a bad trade, but the almighty White Sox GM Ken Williams seems to always have the interest of the team at heart. Lets take a look at his trades during the last few years...

  • Losses: Sirotka, Lowe, Navarro, Snyder, Wells, Drabek, Darwin, Alvarez, D. Wells, Durham, Bradford, Foulke, Loaiza
  • Gains: Konerko, Everett, Alomar, Johnson, Koch
  • Final Score: Konerko is still around, Everett is once again on the DL, Roberto Alomar left for free agency, Johnson left for free agency after getting a ring with Florida, Koch sucked
  • Bottomline: Fire Ken Williams and get someone who know how to trade properly and acquire people who can do their jobs...WSox have missed opportunities to obtain the following players: R Johnson, B Radke, A Pettitte, M Mussina, K Brown, C Schilling, A Rodriguez, N Garciaparra, etc...but no, we go out and get Contreras...sucks sucks sucks.

and finally...some political propaganda for all you political buffs out there. Vote Sarah Randow for President 2004. You can't ask for a more honest, conservative-thinking, Master's-degree-earning soccer player as your president. Running under the Independent Women Party, she promises a car in every garage, food on every table, gas in every tank, and money in every pocket. Ok, just kidding...but I had you there for a second!

That was for you Sarah! Cheers! :o)

So Kerry is now officially running for the democratic presidency after his glorious speech at the Democratic National Convention. With the exception of GWB, I think I'd rather take my chances voting for Harrison Ford as president, or even that presidential hopeful Obama instead of Kerry. Maybe I'll run in 2008 as an independent. Just gotta find a few million people to vote for me. Anyone care to donate to the 2008 President Dwight Williams Campaign Fund? I am accepting cash, checks, paypal, cashiers checks, money orders, credit, debit, mac 'n cheese, popcorn, and Star Trek episodes on DVD.

Have to spend all day today at church preparing for a wedding for Saturday. I just hope that rehearsal doesn't go too long. And I hope that it is organized.

I read a very inspiring quote tonight. "I didn't quit football because I failed a drug test," he said. "I failed a drug test because I was ready to quit football." - Ricky Williams. Going to have to file that pathetic excuse away for use later on. Ok, my turn: "I didn't quit school because I failed a flight test," I said. "I failed a flight test because I was ready to quit school." Parents be trippin' over that one :P

13 days until the trip back to LU begins...

Sorry for the randomness. Posting at 3am does present its typical consequences.

I'm out...like Gore in 2000. hehe
